If you didn't know, Tinker Hatfield designed the AJ5 and he once said that Michael Jordan's style of play reminded him of a fighter jet, as he emerged from the sidelines and attacked. This observation inspired the design of the Air Jordan 5, which took the jagged teeth from the characteristic paint scheme of World War II Mustang fighter planes and applied them to the midsole. A feature that still appears today on the 1990 b-ball icon, including this Air Jordan 5 White Stealth. For this 2021 release, the Air Jordan 5 comes in a white hue on its leather and mesh upper, a silver hue on the tongue and touches of "Hyper Royal" on the tongue branding, sockliner and lace clasp.
